Requirements
  • Academic Qualifications KCSE certificate or its equivalent. Preferably a minimum grade of “D-plain”. For some certificate or artisan level courses, KCPE may suffice.
  • Documents Needed Original and photocopies of KCSE / KCPE certificates. National ID or Birth Certificate. Passport-size photographs (usually 2 to 4). Medical certificate confirming fitness.
  • Personal Requirements Basic literacy in English (reading & writing) and numeracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible, clean appearance; willingness to learn hygiene & safety practices.
  • Age & Other Criteria Minimum age may be 16 years (or as per college policy). Commitment to attend both theory and practical sessions regularly (attendance threshold). Ability to procure or use personal tools/kits (scissors, combs, brushes, uniform etc.).
  • Other Some courses may require a registration / application fee. For practical portions, students might need to supply materials or pay for consumables. Possibly a short interview or assessment of interest in the field.
